Project Description
A 6000 sf retail building, designed to allow for maximum flexibility for a wide variety of future tenants. The brick, steel and glass structure draws its roots from main-street America while creating a timeless modern feel for growing Kirkland. The site, adjacent to the 405 corridor had challenging physical and jurisdictional conditions. A steep slope and adjacency to a large natural wetland required careful planning to create the most usable accessible property while still preserving and mitigating the wetland. Creative grading and planting including restoring a disturbed area on WSDOT property allowed a flexible simple building to sit on a difficult site.
